HRA for Health Insurance - does anyone use HRA to provide Health Care to employees?

From a first glance, it seems that our nonprofit (3 insured employees) may be best served getting a HRA. This would involve employees getting health care on the marketplace, then submitting premium cost for reimbursement from the HRA. Money put into HRA would be pre-tax, saving employer and employee money. In theory, anyway.

Anyone have good or bad experience with the HRA ?

We do! I’m the only employee as the organization previously was run by the founder. My employment is only part-time, so an HRA was offered as a way to contribute to my health insurance which I purchase through the marketplace. It only started in March, though, so I don’t have enough experience to really say whether it’s good or bad.
